Your First Acrylic Painting: Drag Art

Better then Pollock!
You will need:
1. A surface to paint on
2. Cardboard
3. Acrylic paint
Begin by placing globs of paint near the edges of your (for example) canvas. Then use the flat side of the cardboard to drag the paint across the canvas. This can also be done with uneven edges of the cardboard to create some pretty cool effects. The paintings above are my first ever paintings, finished very quickly they still, two years later, hang over my bed. I am very happy with the way they turned out, especially with the faces in each one! Thats the beauty of the drag art, when it's all said and done you just may find something you didn't expect, you love to make paintings, or theres a Scream mask in my art!

Thank you for the advice. I was pretty eager to get my first one up so I rushed it. I will have to do a full hub on drag art with better instructions and photos!
That would be a great idea. And remember never rush your hubs. It takes me a good couple of hours to write one hub and then to get it positioned the way I want it takes another few minutes. So again never rush your writing. :-)

Very cool first hub, lurking...a bit of advice would be make it much longer. You can always do two different styles of painting in the same hub. But you definitely want to make it longer. Good first hub still. I have the surface to paint on and the acrylic. Have to search for the cardboard though lol.
